Raising Money For Charity and Good Causes

Since starting Spirit Motor Club in May 2024, David and Owain wanted to create a community of like-minded people where the benefits of this around improved mental health and well-being. As well as this they wanted to use the platform as a way of raising money for good causes.

They have been fortunate to partner with Tiny Rebel Brewery, Baffle Haus and Richard Hammond at his Smallest Cog Car restoration business since May.

This is just the beginning, thank you for your support.

The Benefits of Community and Well-being at Spirit Motor Club

Founded by David and Owain in May 2024, Spirit Motor Club is more than just a gathering place for car enthusiasts; it’s a community dedicated to enhancing well-being, sharing passions, and giving back. Spirit Motor Club’s ethos centres on creating an inclusive, supportive community for those who love cars—especially Porsches—and the experiences that motoring brings. Alongside the benefits of bringing like-minded people together, we also use our platform to support charities and good causes that align with our values.

  •  Enhanced Well-being and Happiness
    • Higher Life Satisfaction:
A sense of belonging is key to well-being, and research from the Mental Health Foundation UK shows that people engaged with positive, like-minded communities are 50% more likely to feel fulfilled. Our club events and meets create a space for members to share joy, whether through spirited drives or relaxed conversations.
    • Increased Happiness:
Connecting with others who share your interests can raise happiness levels by around 20%. Spirit Motor Club’s members gain camaraderie, a shared sense of purpose, and a unique source of enjoyment that goes beyond the cars themselves.
  • Reduction in Stress and Mental Health Benefits
    • 30% Lower Risk of Depression:
The University of Cambridge has found that a strong community reduces the risk of depression by nearly a third. Being part of Spirit Motor Club allows members to connect over their love for motoring, creating supportive friendships that combat isolation.
    • Stress Relief and Resilience:
Studies from the British Journal of Psychiatry show that groups formed around shared interests can effectively alleviate stress and anxiety. Spirit Motor Club offers members a place to unwind, find encouragement, and manage life’s pressures through the supportive environment of the club.
  • A Stronger Sense of Purpose
    • 30% Increase in Motivation:
A shared purpose enhances motivation. Research from NICE in the UK shows that having a common interest, particularly one as inspiring as motoring, can increase personal drive and sense of direction by up to 30%.
    • Giving Back to the Community:
At Spirit Motor Club, we believe in using our platform for good, organising events and initiatives that give back to local charities and causes. Our members find added purpose not only in connecting with fellow enthusiasts but in making a meaningful impact. Together, we rally for more than just drives—we rally for positive change.
  • Improved Physical Health
    • Better Immune Health:
The NHS notes that being part of a positive social circle can boost immune health. Members of Spirit Motor Club who engage with our events and activities enjoy a 30% increase in resilience to health issues.
    • Lower Blood Pressure and Reduced Inflammation:
Engaging with supportive communities helps to reduce blood pressure and lower inflammation, showing how the benefits of Spirit Motor Club extend far beyond mental health.
  • Resilience and Effective Stress Management
    • More Effective Stress Relief:
Research from the University of Sussex indicates that people in supportive communities are 25% more resilient in the face of stress. Spirit Motor Club serves as a refuge where members can decompress and recharge in a uniquely enjoyable way.
    • Lower Cortisol Levels
Interaction with like-minded enthusiasts also lowers stress hormone levels by 15%, allowing members to truly relax and reconnect with what brings them joy.

Driving for Good

At Spirit Motor Club, our commitment to positive impact extends beyond our members. Through charity drives, fundraising events, and initiatives, we actively support organisations that make a difference. This dedication to giving back is part of our ethos, offering members the chance to be part of something greater while contributing to good causes. Whether it’s through the thrill of the open road or the joy of helping others, Spirit Motor Club is about building connections that benefit both our members and the wider community.
