Raffle Ticket Terms & Conditions

Spirit Motor Club Raffle rules

Thank you for supporting Spirit Motor Club. These terms and conditions refer to online entry to our raffle.

  1. The cost of each ticket entry into the Spirit Motor Club Raffle is £5. You may purchase more than one ticket but the maximum number of tickets is one hundred per draw. Payment to enter the raffle must be made in advance of the draw date. Any payment received after the draw date will be treated as a donation. The maximum combined value of Spirit Motor Club raffle tickets entries you may purchase in any twelve month period is £1,000.
  2. No tickets can be sold to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 18 years. The Promoter reserves the right to carry out age verification checks.
  3. If a ticket is sold unknowingly to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 18 he/she will be exempt from the raffle and will forfeit his/her prize and the stake will be returned.
  4. The Spirit Motor Club Raffle is open to all UK residents aged 18 years and over, except employees / of Spirit Motor Club who are directly involved with the raffle, their agencies and other companies directly involved in the running of the raffle. This means that entries will not be accepted from the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, Northern Ireland and BFPOs.
  5. Raffle ticket entry payments will not be accepted from business bank accounts. This includes cheques and all other forms of payment.
  6. Online or telephone payments for raffle tickets by credit card are not permitted. Payments using this method will be rejected. Raffle payments by debit card are accepted. For more information, please visit www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk. Postal payment for raffle tickets is still permitted by credit card. However, some credit card providers may charge a cash advance fee for doing so. Check with your provider.
  7. The Promoter may run separate raffle draws across year with different draw dates. 
  8. Monies raised by this raffle will contribute to charitable donations made by Spirit Motor Club.
  9. Participation in this raffle can be made through this website with payment by debit card, where entrants will be notified by email of their purchase.
  10. Raffle tickets will be entered into the draw only when the whole payment is received.
  11. The Promoter cannot accept CAF payments for raffle entries and all CAF payments will be treated as donations.
  12. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for raffle tickets (where provided as some raffles will rely upon the name of the person who purchased the ticket added to their purchase invoice in our system) which are lost, damaged, illegible or from which the prize winner cannot be identified, or for any technical failure or event which may cause the competition to be disrupted or corrupted.
  13. Any ticket entries received after the closing date may miss entry into the draw and therefore will be considered as a donation to Spirit Motor Club for it’s charitable donations.
  14. A combination of a random name or number generator or a random selection of entry names on paper is used to select raffle prize winners.
  15. In the event of a raffle with multiple Prizes, they will be allocated in order of the tickets being drawn from the first Superdraw prize down to the last one.
 
 

a. The result of the raffle draw is final. No correspondence will be entered into. Please keep the ticket / allocated number and / or proof of ticket purchase as proof of your purchase.

b. Winners will be notified within 20 working days and on the Spirit Motor Club website within 10 working days.

c. Where the Promoter is unable to contact a prize winner so that a prize remains unclaimed for six months following the Promoter’s first attempt to notify the prize winner, the Promoter may apply the prize as it sees fit, including re-offering the prize in future raffles.

19.  All winners are required to co-operate with the Promoter’s right to publish their win as and where deemed appropriate, and to provide proof of age when requested.

20. In the event of an error, howsoever caused, whether a printing error or otherwise and whether obvious or otherwise, which affects the competition in any way, the Promoter reserves the right to administer the raffle as though the error had not occurred. Where the Promoter deems it appropriate and/or feasible it will notify entrants of the error.

21. Failure to comply with any of these rules may result in the disqualification of the entry. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry at their absolute discretion.

22. All customer funds to be used in future entries paid to the Spirit Motor Club Raffle are held in a seperate gaming account to maintain a separation from Spirit Motor Club’s own trading income. However, this will not protect customer payments in the event of insolvency. This meets the Gambling Commission’s requirement for the segregation of customer payments at the level of basic protection.

23. Refunds for payment of raffle tickets will be given under the following circumstances: 1) a person under the age of 18 took part in the raffle, including after the draw took place. 2) a credit card was used to enter the raffle for an online payment or payment over the telephone.

3) a duplicate payment was taken due to an Spirit Motor Club technical connection failure, where the refund hasn’t already been processed by bank transfer.

24. The Spirit Motor Club Raffle is subject to the laws of England and Wales.

25. The Promoter’s decision in all matters relating to the Spirit Motor Club Raffle is final. All complaints and disputes will be handled in accordance with the procedure. If your complaint relates to the outcome of your gambling transaction and cannot be dealt with by Spirit Motor Club’s complaints procedure to your satisfaction, you have the right, free of charge, to have the matter referred to the Independent Betting Adjudication Service an independent organisation offering alternative dispute resolution (“ADR”) services. Referral of the dispute to an ADR entity will not restrict your right to bring proceedings in respect of the dispute in a court of competent jurisdiction.

26. Where the draw date falls on a bank holiday the draw will take place the following working day.
